Q: How do I start a focus session?
To start a focus session, open Mindscape and tap the "Start Focus" button on the main screen. You can set your desired duration (15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour, or custom) and optionally enable app blocking. Once started, the timer will run and your selected apps will be blocked if you enabled that feature.
Q: App blocking isn't working on my iPhone. What should I do?
For app blocking to work on iOS, you need to grant Screen Time permission. Go to iPhone Settings > Screen Time > See All Activity > Apps & Websites, and make sure Mindscape has permission. If you've already granted permission, try restarting the app or your device. Note: iOS requires version 16.1 or later for app blocking.
Q: How do I enable app blocking on Android?
On Android, app blocking requires the Accessibility Service permission. When you try to block apps for the first time, Mindscape will guide you to Settings > Accessibility > Mindscape App Blocking. Turn on the toggle to enable the service. Once enabled, Mindscape can block the apps you select during focus sessions.
Q: Can I customize which apps to block?
Yes! Tap "Select Apps" when starting a focus session or go to Settings > Blocked Apps. You can choose individual apps or use quick presets like "Social Media", "Entertainment", or "Games". Your selections are saved for future sessions, but you can change them anytime.
Q: How do I view my focus history and statistics?
Tap the "Analytics" tab at the bottom of the screen to view your focus history, total focus time, productivity trends, and more. You can filter by day, week, or month to see your progress over time. Premium users get access to advanced analytics and insights.
Q: Can I sync my data across multiple devices?
Yes! Cloud sync is available for Basic and Premium users. Go to Settings > Account > Enable Cloud Sync. Your focus sessions, blocked app preferences, and settings will sync across all your devices. Free users can only use Mindscape on one device at a time.
Q: What's the difference between the free and premium plans?
The free plan includes basic focus timer and limited app blocking (up to 3 apps). Premium plans unlock unlimited app blocking, advanced analytics, cloud sync across devices, smart app suggestions, and priority support. Check our pricing page for detailed comparisons.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription anytime from your device's subscription settings. For iOS: Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Mindscape. For Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Mindscape. You'll retain premium features until the end of your current billing period.
